New Delhi, Jan 11: After returning from holiday, the Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi launched attack on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for demonetisation and said that ‘Acche Din’ will come only in 2019 when Congress party returns to power.
Addressing the ‘Jan Vedna Sammelan’, Rahul also ridiculed PM Modi for “flitting from one government scheme to another” and doing neither well.

Describing demonetisation as the “worst decision” in India’s history, Rahul said that it was a badly implemented decision of the Narendra Modi government. Rahul also accused BJP of weakening institutions like RBI.
He alleged that decision on demonetisation was taken the Prime Minister in his personal capacity and derailed country’s economy. Saying that unemployment is on the rise is the country, he said good days will come only when Congress comes to power in 2019.
Speaking on the occasion, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram claimed that there is no record of Cabinet meeting of November 8 that took decision on demonetization. He also said demonetization has impacted Gross Domestic Product adversely.
On demonetization issue, Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh said worst is yet to come. Dr Singh said, employment will decrease in agriculture, industry and services. He said, production will also decline particularly in the informal sector which accounts for 45 percent of GDP.
