New Delhi: Both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned till tomorrow after paying tributes to sitting and former members and victims of Amarnath terror attack.
As soon as Lok Sabha met, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan read the condolence message over the death of sitting MP Vinod Khanna and some former members of the House. The House also condemned the terror attack on Amarnath Yatri and expressed grief over the deaths in the attack.
Earlier, newly elected members from Srinagar Farooq Abdullah and P.K. Kunhalikutty from Mallapuram took oath. The Rajya Sabha also paid tributes to its sitting members Anil Madhav Dave and P Govardhan Reddy who passed away recently. It also paid homage to some of former members of the Houses.
Later, the House condoled the death in Amarnath terror attacks and loss of lives in recent floods in different states. The Monsoon session of Parliament commence today will continue till 11th of next month.
