Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are all set to grace the silver screen together as husband and wife, to tell a story of an ageing couple, suggest reports. Shoojit Sircar, who has directed Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Piku’, and was the producer of ‘Pink’, will helm this untitled project. Amitabh and Jaya will play a couple married for four decades, spending their old age together in the fear of what will happen to the other if one of them passes away. If this happens then the celebrity couple will work together for a Bollywood movie in full-fledged roles after 16 long years.

Ranbir roped in for a travel brand to attract youth

Ranbir Kapoor has been announced as the brand ambassador for an online travel portal. Salman Khan had shot for extensive advertisements with Yatra.com but a youth icon seems to be the need of the day for them. A rival brand, Make My Trip, roped in youngsters Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as the faces of the company and to counter that, youth icon Ranbir is publicised as the fresh face of Yatra. While Sallu may have completed his contract with the brand, Ranbir has been a part of several travel related films in the past.

Katrina to play a desi girl in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’?Katrina Kaif

While we brought you the news about Katrina Kaif bagging a role in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, her character in the film is still not revealed. Buzz suggests that Katrina will romance Aamir Khan in the film and her character will have an Indian touch to it. She will not play a British character, as rumours suggested earlier. Fatima Sana Shaikh, who has also bagged a role in the Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan starrer, is training in sword fighting as ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ promises some intense war scenes. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film will go on floors next month.

Huma to romance Rajinikanth in a Tamil filmHuma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi has been booked for a big ticket as she has signed up for a romantic film opposite south superstar Rajinikanth. This yet untitled film is a Tamil project which will be directed by Pa Ranjith of ‘Kabali’ fame. Rajinikanth and Huma will begin shooting for this movie by the end of May in Mumbai. In the past, Rajini has worked with other Bollywood beauties like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Radhika Apte. Interestingly, this untitled project will be produced by Dhanush, who is married to Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya.
