Mumbai: After a slow start, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos has finally hit the right chord with the audience. The film is steadily moving up the charts. Anurag Basu’s directorial venture showed good numbers on Box office on Sunday.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film made Rs 8.5 crore on its opening Friday, and Rs 11.5 crore on Saturday, showing increased footfalls by families.
The upward graph has paved way for the film’s possible entry into the 100 crore club.
‘Jagga Jasoos’ is a musical adventure written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. The film tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father.
Jagga Jasoos is made on a staggering budget of Rs 110 crore. The film was also shot multiple times.
Ranbir had said at an event that he would pay back the distributors if the film does not fare well at the box office.
