Aamir Khan turns distributor

Aamir Khan is known for his profit-making ways and the actor is soon going to add yet another feather to his hat. If the industry buzz is to be believed then Aamir is planning to start a distribution wing under his home production banner. Mr Perfectionist is reportedly keen to start distribution and exhibition of films beginning with his upcoming project ‘Secret Superstar’, which will hit the screens in Diwali this year. The ‘Dangal’ star plays an interesting cameo in the film, which is a venture under his home banner Aamir Khan Productions. He is already a producer and a director.

Is Salman Khan stalling ‘No Entry’?

While fans have been waiting for Salman Khan to return with Boney Kapoor’s ‘No Entry’ sequel, there seems to be a lot of ambiguity about it. When Boney was asked about an update on ‘No Entry’ sequel, he quipped, “You should ask Salman Khan about that!” The actor had supposedly given a nod to the filmmaker long back, however, he has not yet allotted dates for the comedy flick. Instead Sallu has newer projects back-to-back. After ‘Tubelight’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘Race 3’ are in the pipeline, whereas ‘Dabangg 3’, ‘Kick 2’ and ‘Wanted 2’ are also on the horizon. All these films leave less time for ‘No Entry’ sequel.

Low opening for ‘Daddy’ and ‘Poster Boys’

Arjun Rampal’s ‘Daddy’ and the Deols’ ‘Poster Boys’ have received an average response at the Box Office. An intense gangster film, ‘Daddy’ is doing maximum business in Mumbai because of the connect of its lead character, which is based in the city. Arjun Rampal-produced, co-written and starrer ‘Daddy’ made Rs 1.25 crore on its opening day and another Rs 1.50 crore on Saturday. On the other hand, Shreyas Talpade-directed ‘Poster Boys’, starring himself, Sunny and Bobby Deol collected Rs 1.75 crore on Friday. Marking an upward trend, the film made another Rs 2.50 crore on Saturday. Overall, both the films have been low scorers.

Buzz is that the aspiring actress will finally face the camera for her big screen appearance in November. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter, Jhanvi has been cast opposite Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother Ishaan Khatter in the Hindi remake of the hit Marathi film ‘Sairat’. Karan Johar’s banner, Dharma Productions will launch these star-kids on the glamorous platform.
