Pak troops violate ceasefire in Jammu, Poonch; Army retaliates strongly

Jammu: In yet incident of ceasefire violation, the Pakistani troops today started firing and shelling at the Indian posts along the International Border in Jammu district and the Line of Control in Poonch. This resulted in strong retaliation from the security forces.

There has been no loss of life or injury to any one so far.

The Pakistan Army resorted to firing and shelling along the LoC in Mankote, Sabjian and Digwar areas in Poonch from 3 pm onwards, an official said.

Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire at least three times in this month. The last incident of ceasefire was reported on Monday, September 11.
