Basant Panchami 2019: Date, puja muhurat, mantra to worship Goddess Saraswati

Basant Panchami or Vasant Panchami will be celebrated on February 10. This is also known as Saraswati Panchami as the goddess of wisdom and knowledge is worshipped on this day.

The word ‘Basant’ means spring and ‘Panchami’ indicates the fifth day of Magh which is also the first day of spring season.

Puja Muhurata:

According to drikpanchang.com, Vasant Panchami Puja Muhurta will last 15 minutes from 12:26 pm to 12:41 pm.

The Panchami Tithi Begins at 12:25 on February 9 and will end at 2:08 pm on February 10.

Puja mantra:

“Yaa kundendu tushaaradhawala yaa shubhravastravrutta.

Yaa veena varadanda manditakara yaa shweta padmasanaa.

Yaa brahmachyuta shankara prabhrutibhi devai sadaa vandita’

Saa maam pathu saraswati bahgavati nishshesha jadyapaha”.

‘Aum Saraswathyae Namah, Dhyanartham Pushpam Samarpayami’
