New Delhi: Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi is being celebrated today across India. Milad-un-Nabi marks the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, who is believed to be the messenger of God in Islam.
“Milad Mehfils” and “Seerat Conferences” is held to highlight the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad. Milad processions are also organised in the morning to mark the occasion.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu have greeted people on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammed.
Mr Kovind in his message said on the auspicious occasion, he extends his good wishes to all fellow citizens, especially to Muslim brothers and sisters.

The Vice President in his greeting said, Prophet Mohammad showed humanity, the righteous path of compassion and universal brotherhood. Mr Naidu expressed hope that the eternal teachings of the Prophet continue to guide people in building a peaceful and harmonious society.
