Italian Benelli Leoncino 500 Launched In India; Priced At ₹ 4.79 Lakh

Benelli Leoncino 500 blends traditional scrambler design and modern accents. Styled by Centro Stile Benelli, Leoncino’s front displays the ‘Lion of Pesaro’. The headlamp comes with LED technology. The usable tank volume is 13.5 litres. The motorcycle features an 815 mm high pilot seat. Benelli India is offering Leoncino with a standard 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty.

New Delhi: Much awaited Italian bike the leoncini 500 launched launched in India priced at Rs 4.79 lakh. The all-new offering is a scrambler-styled bike that takes inspiration from the ‘Lion Cub’ models of the 1950s and ’60s while packing in modern mechanicals. The Benelli Leoncino 500 has been a long-awaited model and is the second launch from the bike maker after resurrecting its operations in India earlier this year in collaboration with Adishwar Auto Ride India. Bookings for the Benelli Leoncino have commenced online for ₹ 10,000, and can be done at any of the manufacturer’s deale.

At its heart is a 499.6cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected twin-cylinder motor that develops 47.6hp and 45Nm of torque. It is based on a tubular steel trellis frame. The suspension set up on the bike comprises of a 50mm USD fork at the front and preload adjustable mono-shock set-up at the rear. The motorcycle sits of 17-inch wheels. Braking duties on the bike is handled by a 320mm twin-disc at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear.

Like the TRK 502, the Leoncino is also being offered with a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty as standard. The bike comes as a stylish and more affordable alternative to other scrambler motorcycles including the Ducati Scrambler and The Triumph Street Scrambler. The Leoncino though does not have a direct rival at its price point.
