Kia Seltos, a new entry in the midsize SUV market

Kia Motors will be launching its first product in our market, the Seltos SUV on August 22, 2019. Kis Seltos made its global premiere last week in Delhi and ibookins for it will be open soon.

Kia Seltos will come under the category of midsize SUV in India which includes many big names like Hyundai Creta, the renault Captur, Nissan Kicks, Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector. Kia plans to sell through showrooms as well as online channels. Kia Motors India has also confirmed that it plans to set up 265 touch points across 160 cities once the SUV goes on sale.

It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh and will be offering eight exterior color options with 5 dual tone options.

Kia seltos comes with 10.25 inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, power adjustable driver’s seat, air purifier, auto climate control and rear AC vents.

Three BS6-compliant engine options will be available on the Seltos in India – a 1.5-litre petrol offered with a 6-speed manual and CVT, a 1.5-litre diesel mated to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with direct injection mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The 1.4-litre engine will be sold only on the sportier GT-Line trim that will get unique cosmetic bits inside out.
