New Delhi: After unveiling Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV in India, it is rumoured that Mahindra & Mahindra will launch the newly updated Scorpion Classic pick-up truck soon in the Indian market. A photo of the new SUV was spotted on its way after dealer dispatches. The new SUV looks a lot similar to the recently launched Scorpio Classic SUV in the month of August. It features the updated grille and tweaked headlamps.
However, the leaked picture of the pick-up shows the car will carry no alloy wheels.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic pick-up features
The new pick-up will be launched by Mahindra for its target customers who use the vehicle mostly for commercial purposes. The car is expected to come with a few features that we saw in the newly launched Scorpio Classic. In the Scorpio Classic, one gets Anti-pinch & auto roll-up smart driver window, Power window, Roof-mounted sunglass holder, Rear wash & wiper, Rear demister, Remote central locking, Follow-me-home headlamps, Lead-me-to-vehicle headlamps, Footstep, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Gear shift indicator, Fully automatic temperature control, Height adjuster on the driver seat, Audio & cruise control on the steering wheel and more.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic pick-up engine and price detail
Under the hood, the SUV may come with a 2.2-litre diesel engine with Common Rail Direct Injection technology which we earlier saw on the Scorpio Classic.
This engine churns out 130 bhp and 300 NM of peak torque. It is expected to be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. In the market, the pick-up will join the Bolero pick-up range that includes Bolero Pik-up, Bolero Max Pik-up, Bolero Camper and Bolero Maxi truck Plus.
As per the reports, the pick-up may cost around Rs 10 lakh in the market (ex-showroom).
