New Delhi: British carmaker MG Motor has taken the wraps off its all-electric hatchback MG4 EV in the United Kingdom. The company has said that the electric car will be based on its Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), making the car its most technologically advanced EV offering.
The latest version can soon be unveiled in India by the brand, which is currently selling one of the most premium electric cars in the country called MG ZS EV.
As per the sources, the car will be launched at an initial price of 25,995 Euro (nearly Rs.25 lakh) in the Indian market and is to be available in six colours, including Arctic White, Holborn Blue, Black Pearl, Dynamic Red, Camden Gray and Volcano Orange.

Design
Interestingly, the exterior design of the automobile differs from all the previous models of MG and could be barely recognised as a vehicle of the particular brand. Up front, it gets a separate front end which does not have a grille.
It also comes with sleek, stretching LED headlamps flanking the MG logo at the front. Other highlights of its exterior design include a glass roof, full-width LED taillights, a skid plate on the rear bumper and aero-style alloy wheels.
Specification
The five-door hatchback will be available in 164.7 bhp and 198.2 bhp variants initially, with a single-motor rear-wheel powertrain, preceded by a more powerful, 436.9 bhp variant, which has a 2-motor four-wheel powertrain. The company has claimed that the standard range accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds.
Features
The all-electric hatchback gets 10.25 floating infotainment screen and hi-tech features like 7-inch driver display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity. The car also comes with automatic LED headlights and rear lights, rear parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, automatic climate control and MG iSmart app connectivity.
