Nadita Das splits from husband Subodh

Filmmaker and actress Nandita Das has separated from her husband Subodh Maskara after seven years of marriage. Nandita Das and Subodh tied the knot in January 2010 and have a six-year-old son Vihaan from their marriage. The duo has decided to separate amicably and have stated that their son is a priority now. While 2016 saw several breakups and divorces, this year too has begun on a similar note. Nandita Das and Subodh are the first Bollywood couple to have called it quits in their relationship in 2017. Reasons for their breakup are still unknown.

While one Bollywood couple separated in 2017, there another whose romance is blooming in the New Year. Sonam Kapoor has been fiercely protective about her relationship status but her many pictures on Instagram tell a different tale. The actress recently wished her fans a happy New Year with a quirky picture, which features rumoured beau Anand Ahuja. Interestingly Anand has been around Sonam in person and also appears in pictures for quite some time. The businessman from Delhi was seen in Anil Kapoor’s 60th birthday celebrations and was also spotted at the several Kapoor get-togethers.

‘Dangal’ on the way to 300 crores!

Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ hit the screens a week ago and the film still maintains a strong grip at the Box Office. In its second weekend, the biopic collected Rs 23.07 crore on Saturday and Rs 31.27 crore on Sunday, making a total of Rs 270.47 crores at the end of ten days. Trade analysts believe that ‘Dangal’ may cross Rs 300 crores in 12 days and is on its way to making Rs 350 crore at the domestic ticket windows. In the recent past, only a few films like ‘PK’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’ have recorded such massive numbers.

Akshay Kumar has a busy year ahead

Akshay Kumar remains to be one of those few stars who goes on a film signing spree and entertains his audiences whole year round. Come 2017, Akki promises four different silver screen avatars. First off, Akshay will be seen in courtroom comedy drama ‘Jolly LLB 2’. He will tell a quirky love story alongside Bhumi Pednekar in Shree Narayan Singh’s ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ in the second Bollywood outing. Diwali will have Akshay turn into a villain for Shankar’s ‘2.0’ and finally the year will end with a biopic, R Balki’s ‘Pad Man’. Before he gears up for all the busy work, Akki is on a much needed break.
