Twin blasts near Afghan Parliament; 21 killed, 45 injured

New Delhi, Jan 10: At least 21 people have been killed and 45 wounded in twin bombings near the Afghan Parliament in Kabul.

Most of the dead were civilians, including Parliament employees. The attack took place during rush hour, as staff were leaving the Parliament complex.

Ministry of Interior Affairs spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said that at least one of the blasts was apparently caused by a car bomb.

An injured Parliament security guard said that the first explosion happened outside the parliament, wounding a number of workers.
