New Delhi: The rate of cryptocurrency Dogecoin spiked over 30 percent on April 3 (Monday) after Twitter CEO Elon Musk replaced the Twitter bird logo with Doge (Shia Inu) on micro blogging website.
The sudden change of logo on Twitter created a buzz on social media. Also, Elon Musk shared a meme about the alteration to his 133.5 million Twitter followers.
Dogecoin was a result of joke
In 2013, dogeecoin was created as a result of joke following which it became one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies in the world. Dogecoin managed to successfully win the hearts of thousands of investors and traders. In recent times, Dogecoin became one of the most talked about cryptocurrencies.
Currently, Dogecoin is rated at as the eighth-most valuable cryptocurrency, according to CoinMarketCap.com, with over $13 billion marked cap.
About Dogecoin- Kabosu, the Shiba Inu
The Dogecoin (Dog logo) is one of the most admired Shiba Inu which is named Kabosu. Shiba Inu is a a popular Japanese dog breed whose look is similar to fox.
According to reports, it is said that Kabosu was rescued from an animal shelter and was very much close to be put down. But Kabosu was given a second chance due to Japanese kindergarten teacher, Atsuko Sato.

In 2008, Kabosu was adopted by Sato in Novermber and it has over 445,000 Instagram followers. Kabosu is also one of the world’s most famous dog.
It became famous after a meme featuring Kabosu went viral on Internet.
