‘Museum of War’: Ukraine launched NFT collection to aid the army amidst Russia’s invasion

New Delhi: The Vice President of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov took to Twitter on March 25 to announce the launch of the NFT collection ‘Meta History: Museum of War.’ Reportedly, the sales made from the Museum of War NFT would directly go to the official crypto wallet of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in order to provide help to the Ukrainian forces and civilians affected and trapped in the war-torn country.

According to the report by Forbes, the first sale will be collected by a Ukrainian start-up named Fairxyz.com and will feature 5,000 to 7,000 NFTs at the price of around $450 each. Besides, the sale is expected to generate up to $3 million.

Moreover, Fedorov mentioned in his tweet that the revolutionary blockchain technology has been trusted as opposed to Russia which has chosen tanks and weapons to destroy Russia. This new initiative will enable the Ukrainian military and celebrate Ukrainian identity and freedom.

Moreover, the announcement to launch NFT to support the Ukraine army amidst the invasion by Russia was made on March 3, after the government cancelled a planned token airdrop. The Ukrainian government also launched an official website to collect crypto donations on March 14.
