New Delhi: In a sensational exposé, Mediapart, the French investigative web site, has quoted from Dassault internal documents to claim that the relationship with Reliance was “mandatory” and part of a “trade off”.
The revelations appeared today in Mediapart. According to Mediapart, “During a presentation of the Dassault Reliance Aerospace joint venture to staff representatives in Nagpur, it was imperative and mandatory for Dassault Aviation to accept this trade off to obtain the contract to export Rafale to India.” This was said to be disclosed by the Deputy CEO of the group according to a report by a member of the Staff.
This reinforces disclosures by Hollande French President that France had no choice but to go in for Reliance. In the past, Reliance has denied that they were under any kind of pressure. This directly contradicts the claim.
The Rafale controversy has entered another phase with the Supreme Court seeking details about the procedures and the government asked to give details of the procedures in a sealed cover.
