New York: Dr Sonal Chauhan was on Friday conferred with the ‘Bharat Gaurav Lifetime Achievement Award’ at a gala ceremony in the city.
‘Bharat Gaurav Award’ is a prestigious award where Indians get awarded for their landmark contribution in various fields.
Madhur Bhandarkar, a Padma Shri recipient, was also conferred with ‘Bharat Gaurav Award’ at the UN hall. The acclaimed filmmaker dedicated the award to the Indian Armed Forces.
The award was instituted by Sanksriti Yuva Sanstha — a Jaipur-headquartered NGO with an international presence.
This year, a total of 76 Indian achievers from different states in the country received the Bharat Gaurav Awards in areas of Research, Education and Social Services.
The prestigious award selects people from all over world, who have excelled in their area of expertise and have made India proud.
First ‘Bharat Gaurav Award” Ceremony was held in 2012 at Hotel Hilton, New Jersey, USA where people across the globe joined the award ceremony.
