Forum on Transforming Education: A unique initiative to prepare schools for future

Though it was just the first session in which experts and delegates shared their views about the need of transformation in the education sector. Further programs will be organised to address issues like embracing team building, model character, values and skills and how to use technology in the education sector.

New Delhi: A host of academicians, experts and noted personalities pertaining to varied fields participated in 3 enlightening sessions including ‘Forum on Transforming Education’ organised at the Ahlcon International School today.

The ‘Forum on Transforming Education’ was organised to discuss the need for revamping the ‘stagnant’ education systems to changing realities of the world.

In order to meet the demands of our present and future world, the Forum underscored the need to foster innovative educational models that borrow out-of-the-box thinking to inspire transforming changes across the education spectrum.

‘We conducted this type of forum to dig out problems, generate ideas and thoughts around the problem we are facing in this sector, whether it is at the classroom level or about the focus and objective of education. We have invited guest and experts from abroad, other parts of the country’, said Ashok Pandey, Principal of Ahlcon International School and Forum co-chairperson.

The Forum Chairperson Tony Devine Ed. D (Vice President of Education Global Peace Foundation USA) also stressed on the importance of transforming education sector.

‘This is the sector which is begging for transformation because the world is changing so rapidly with technology and even societies are dealing with an inequality. We have to transform the education sector so that students can be future ready’. said Tony Devine.

Other expert delegates who attended the Forum included Priyamvada Taneja (Regional Manager of India, Middle East & Africa, Fieldwork Education), Dr. Nirmala Krishnan (General Manager (Education) JSW Foundation, Mumbai), Dr. Ameeta Mulla Wattal (Principal, Springdales School Pusa Road and Kirti Nagar; Former Chairperson, National Progressive Schools Conference), Dr. Arunabh Singh (Director, Nehru World School, New Delhi), Vipul S. Redey (Head — School Enablement Khan Academy).
