Modi set for second term; Exit polls give clear majority to NDA

The mammoth Lok Sabha 2019 elections came to an end today.  Exit polls are giving a clean and comfortable lead for BJP-led NDA in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

New Delhi: The mammoth Lok Sabha 2019 elections came to an end today.  Exit polls are giving a clean and comfortable lead for BJP-led NDA in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

NDA to cross 300+ comfortably

As per predictions by Jan Ki Baat Exit Poll, Modi-led NDA is likely to win upto 295-315 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

BJP is predicted to secure an estimated 254 and 274 seats.

UPA-led by Congress is projected to a win between 122 and 125 seats, with Congress predicted to secure 71 to 74 of these. In 2014, Congress showed a dismal performance with just 44 seats.

‘Others’ are projected to win 102-125 seats, out of which in the electorally critical state of Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party-Bahujan Samaj Party ‘Mahagathbandhan’ may win 21-32 seats.

CVoter Exit Poll Projections:

As per the projections by the CVoter Exit Poll, BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Modi is predicted to win 287 seats – a majority – in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls with 42.3% vote-share.

In 2014 elections, BJP won 282 seats on its own while the NDA numbers crossed 325 mark.

Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is forecasted to clinch only 128 seats – 69 seats more as compared to the UPA’s seat-share in 2104 which was 59.

In 2014, the Congress had fared dismally winning just 44 seats.
