Actor Kochu Preman dies at 68; tributes pour in for Malayalam star on Twitter

New Delhi: Malayalam actor KS Premkumar, known as Kochu Preman, passed away at Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. The 68-year-old actor died to due respiratory disease today’s afternoon. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city for the last few days.

His film career of 25 years old spans over 130 films. However, he started his career in theatre. He made his film debut in 1979 with the Ezhunirangal film. Kochu rose to fame with his film Dilliwala Rajakumaran which was released after 17 years of his first film.

Notably, he is known for playing comedic roles while he is also famous for a few serious characters like the doctor in Leela and the blind advisor to the king in Guru film.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan also condoled the death of Kochu Preman praising him for his comedy roles. Besides, many people also paid the last tribute to the actor on Twitter.
