New Delhi: Om Raut’s Adipurush found itself in a whirlpool of controversies when its teaser was released 5 months ago.
After the public outrage, the makers spent a hefty sum of redoing VFX and delayed the release of the epic period drama.
Now, on the occasion of Ram Namvi, the makers have unveiled the newest poster for the film. The caption reads “Mantron se badhke tera naam, Jai Shri Ram.”
The poster is pretty much similar to the classic picture where Rama, Sita, and Laxman are standing while Hanuman is kneeling with joined hands.
However, the new poster failed to generate any positive buzz around the controversial movie ahead of its release in June. Fans are disappointed with the lackluster poster.
Many expressed that Prabhas isn’t the right fit to play the role of Rama.
“Sorry but Prabhas just doesn’t look good in the role of Rama,” wrote one user. Another said,” he looks more like Ravan.”
In fact, many have vouched for Ram Charan to be cast as Rama. The RRR actor had left fans impressed with his getup as lord Rama in the climax of the film.
Others are still conflicted about the bearded look of lord Rama, Laxman, and Hanuman.
Kriti Sanon’s outfit as Sita is also attracting criticism for being drab and banal. “Maa Sita didn’t wear such dull colors,” commented a user.
Om Raut’s Ramayana adaptation will roll at theatres on 16th June. Adhering to its VFX, the multilingual movie will be released in 3D.
Ahead of the big release, Producer Bhushan Kumar and Director Om Raut went to the shrine of Maa Vaishno Devi to pray for the success of the movie.
