Shivaji Maharaj

New Delhi: Netizens on Tuesday trolled Akshay Kumar on Twitter and Instagram soon after the actor announced to play the role of Shivaji Maharaj. Kumar also shared a promo video on his social media accounts. However, this film will be a Marathi film namely Vedant Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.

Since today morning, a hashtag such as Shivaji Maharaj, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, and Akshay Kumar has been trending on Twitter. Many people criticised the actor for being not fit for the role of Shivaji.

People also targeted the maker for using bulbs in one of the scenes and asked who invented bulbs in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s era.

Below here one can check how people trolled Akshay Kumar:

”I didn’t knew thomas Edison invented bulbs in Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s era.  Too much creative liberty ruins the essences,” wrote a user.

”Shivaji Maharaj ruled from 1674 to 1680. Thomas Edison invented light bulb in 1880. This is Akshay Kumar playing Shivaji,” commented another user.

Will try my best to play Shivaji Maharaj
