New Delhi: The Central Board of Film Certification granted Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal an ‘A’ certificate, as the filmmaker himself announced last week.
He expressed his satisfaction with the film’s ‘A’ certificate, which indicates that it is intended for audiences 18 and over. Additionally, he said that he would not be taking his son Arjun or any younger family members to the theatre to see the film.
The director also shared the film’s running duration when announcing Animal’s certification. The running time of Animal in theatres is 3 hours and 21 minutes.

The Ranbir Kapoor film is slated to have a lengthier OTT version. The media has reported that the streaming site will release an expanded version of Animal.

Animal OTT release
On December 1, 2023, cinemas will welcome Ranbir Kapoor’s action flick – Animal. After the film’s theatrical release, it will likely have an OTT premiere. After 6 to 8 weeks of its theatrical launch, the film is slated to be planned for an OTT distribution, according to Smart Prix.

Recent sources indicate that the online streaming version of the film is anticipated to be 30 minutes longer than the film’s original running time. If this turns out to be accurate, the total amount of time that Sandeep’s movie would be present on a streaming platform will be 3 hours and 51 minutes.
During his discussion over the extended version, the actor said that the narrative of Animal required this length of time to be conveyed to the audience.
