Mahesh Bhatt has received a death threat and extortion call. The person has threatened to kill his daughter Alia Bhatt and wife Soni Razdan if he doesn’t pay up. The filmmaker was quick to lodge a police complaint at the Juhu Police Station on Wednesday evening. Confirming the same Mahesh Bhatt shared, “A bolt from the blue in the form of an extortion call and threat to my family was nipped in the bud by the Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh police in tandem. Gratitude!” Mahesh Bhatt reportedly received a call which demanded a payment of Rs 50 lakhs.

Amitabh Bachchan steers away from political controversy

Amitabh Bachchan is set to play a political hothead in ‘Sarkar 3’ as he takes ahead the Ram Gopal Varma-directed franchise. The trailer has Amitabh Bachchan mouth a dialogue about politics being a murky mess. Interestingly, Big B had a stint in politics in the ‘80s. In no mood to connect the two, Bachchan says, “I have done about 200 films. So if I have said a particular dialogue then it should not be connected to my personal life. We speak a lot in films which is written by someone else. They are not even our emotions.” Clearly, Bachchan Sr is in no mood to court controversy.

Why Kareena stays away from social networking

Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of those few celebrities who has stayed away from the web of social networking on the Internet and is better off the trolls. “I am not on social media. Maybe because of the trolls I am not on Instagram or Twitter. Life is beautiful, the world is a beautiful place and I don’t like to give an opinion on everything. I’d rather watch some good content than troll someone on Twitter,” opines Bebo. While her sister Karisma Kapoor is an avid Instagram user, Kareena and brother Ranbir Kapoor have stayed away from the social networking websites.

Twinkle Khanna may have bid adieu to her acting career but the actress is surely making waves with her humour. Thanks to her popularity, Tina has been roped in by L’Oreal Professionnel as its first Indian brand ambassador at the L’Oreal Professionnel Indian Hairdressing Awards. Mrs Funnybones, as she likes to call herself on the social networking site Twitter, shot for a trendy video as the new face of L’Oreal Professionnel India. With this, Twinkle has joined the league of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who are attached to the L’Oreal brand in some way or the other.
