Review
Cho Jin Woong gives a remarkable performance as Detective Jo Won Ho. His nuanced depiction portrays Jo’s willpower and fragility. As Brian Lee, Cha Seung Won returns, bringing his charming energy, and heightening the film’s cat-and-mouse dynamic.
Oh Seung Hoon’s portrayal of Rock and Han Hyo Joo’s portrayal of the mysterious Keunkal both deserve praise for adding new dimensions to the story. Their work helps create a layered cast of characters, each with their own secrets and goals throughout the film.

Diversity is added to the cast with Kim Dong Young and Lee Joo Young, and their roles are crucial to the mystery that Won-ho is trying to solve.
The directing by Baek Jong Yul maintains the same level of intensity and suspense as the previous film. The gritty feel of the criminal underground is well captured on film, adding to the film’s overall sense of suspense and mystery. The film’s pace is just right, allowing for character growth as well as the action.
The narration of Kim Hee Jin’s script is tightly wound and interesting from beginning to end. The film expertly combines thriller aspects with action and criminality to create a well-rounded and exciting whole.
The second instalment of the Believer series continues the promising work of its forerunner by providing an exciting story that delves deep into the thorny issues of crime and punishment. This sequel lives up to the high standards established by the first film in the Believer series, thanks to its excellent cast, skilled directing, and intricate narrative.
