The series is inspired by the famous novel ‘Sisterhood of Dune’ written by Brian Herbert. ‘Dune’ is described as the best selling science fiction novel in history. The story has also inspired many video games.

Tabu was last seen in the film 'Crew' which did well at the box office. The film was directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and the star cast includes Karina Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
