New Delhi: Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam’s eagerly awaited film Bro: the Avatar finally released in theatres yesterday.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences, the movie started its box office journey with an impressive opening on its first day.
Bro’s day 1 collection
As per some early estimates by industry trackers, the directorial has got a monstrous start at the box office and minted Rs 29 (approx) crore on its opening day.
With the weekend approaching, the movie is very much expected to spike up its collection even further and if it does so, it can even possibly enter the prestigious 100 crore club by Sunday.
Speaking of Bro’s theatre occupancy, the movie recorded a decent average occupancy of 75% (approx) during its screening on day 1 in the Telegu belt. However, the exact occupancy figures are still awaited.
Bro’s impressive box office figures also benefited from the underwhelming performance of MS Dhoni’s maiden production LGM which barely managed to earn a sum of 0.80 lacks on its opening day and failed to give any competition to the Pawan Kalyan starrer.
Now, with LGM out of the competition, Bro can expect a smooth unchallenged run at the box office as no major movies will be coming its way until the arrival of Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 and Superstars Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar on 11 August.
