Plot

David Jung once lived in the shadows of the world’s most covert operations, a ghost among men. A highly skilled former U.S. intelligence operative, David was known for making the hard calls—decisions that never saw the light of day but shaped the fates of nations. But after one mission crossed a line even he couldn’t justify, David disappeared without a trace. Faking his own death, he abandoned everything—his country, his identity, his allies—and resurfaced years later in a quiet corner of South Korea, where he rebuilt a modest life under a false name. To the locals, he was a quiet American who taught English and minded his own business. But beneath the surface, he remained ever alert, haunted by memories of the past and the knowledge that someday, someone would come looking.

That day arrives with brutal swiftness.

An assassination attempt shatters the illusion of safety David had so carefully constructed. The attacker: Rebecca—a highly-trained, relentless young assassin whose precision and instincts mirror his own. But Rebecca is more than just a killer; Caddis, the enigmatic and ruthless spy syndicate David once betrayed, molded her into their latest weapon. Cold, calculating, and driven by her own shadowed past, Caddis assigns her a singular mission: eliminate David Jung at any cost.

As David narrowly escapes her first strike, he realizes that Caddis has finally found him. The impossible decision he made years ago—one that cost lives, dismantled a mission, and left Caddis scrambling—has come back with a vengeance. But this is more than retaliation. Caddis doesn’t just want David dead; they want to erase him, dismantle everything he once stood for, and make an example of him to any operative who ever dares to go rogue.

Forced out of hiding, David must once again become the operative he thought he had buried.
