It was obvious that the actor had taken on a character that he had never played before, and it was also clear that the movie dealt with a delicate subject matter.

New Delhi: When the promo for Chithha was finally shown, everyone was left wondering what Siddharth had in store for his second appearance of the year, which he had said would be under his home production banner.

The movie was first met with acclaim upon its release in Tamil on September 28 and has continued to do so ever since. At the box office, Chitta was successful overall. The producers have not yet made an announcement on the film’s global collection.

It was released at the same time as other highly anticipated films such as Iraivan and Chandramukhi 2. Even though it had a poor start in the first few days, word of mouth was ultimately what brought in the crowd after a few days had passed.

It was obvious that the actor had taken on a character that he had never played before, and it was also clear that the movie dealt with a delicate subject matter.

Notable figures and stars like Kamal Haasan and Vetri Maaran discussed their impressions of the film and lavished admiration for the work that SU Arun Kumar had directed. It had significant contributions from a number of actors, including Nimisha Sajayan, Sahasra Shree, and Anjali Nair, amongst others. The opening night screening was met with universally favourable reviews from film enthusiasts and reviewers.

The father-daughter bond as well as the emotional themes addressed in the movie garnered a lot of attention. This movie has received a lot of accolades for being the greatest of its kind since it avoids being too emotional and heroic.

OTT Release

Later this month, Chithha will become available on Disney+ Hotstar. Disney+ Hotstar has not yet made any formal announcements about this topic. The date of the OTT release is expected to be specified soon.

About the Film

In Telugu, the film was called Chinna, while in Kannada, it was called Chikku.

SU Arun Kumar is in charge of Chitta’s direction. Lead parts are played by Siddharth, Nimisha Vijayan, Sahasra Sri, and Anjali Nair respectively in this production. Kamal Haasan was another actor who lauded the movie, Chitta. The film’s opening day receipts in Tamil were not very impressive, but the movie made up for lost ground in the days that followed.

In addition to the major actors’ impressive performances, other components of the film, such as the songs of Dhibu Ninan Thomas and the background soundtrack composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, were praised by critics.

When the actor gave a speech at the pre-release ceremony for the Telugu version of Chithha, he managed to stir up some controversy. In contrast to the responses, he got from other film industries, he claimed that he was disheartened when no one stepped up to grab the movie’s theatrical rights in Tollywood. He said that this made him feel helpless. However, audiences in Telugu states also responded well to the film after its premiere.
