Costao OTT Release: Veteran Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to treat his fans with his ambitious upcoming movie titled Costao.
Inspired by the real-life story of Goa-based customs officer Costao Fernandes, the movie is set to land on Zee5 in the days to come, offering viewers a dose of quality entertainment right from the comfort of their homes.
Proudly making the announcement, the OTT platform recently took to social media and shared an intriguing poster of Costao with the netizens. In the poster, shared by Zee5 on its official Instagram handle, Nawazuddin’s character of Costao is seen dressed in his uniform, posing in the foreground of the Goan sea.
The caption attached to the streamer’s post read, “Before they called him a hero, they called him guilty. #Costao took on Goa’s smuggling network with nothing but grit and guts. Coming soon on #ZEE5.”
It now remains to be seen when the filmmakers will finally unveil the long-awaited date of the crime-drama’s premiere on the OTT screens.
Plot
Helmed by Sejal Shah, Costao tells the tale of heroic customs officer Mr. Costao Fernandes, who, without caring about his life and job, busted one of the biggest gold smuggling rackets the country has ever witnessed.
Cast and Production
The star cast of Costao features Nawazuddin Siddiqui portraying the main character while also starring other actors, including Kishor Kumar, Priya Bapat, and Hussain Dalal in pivotal roles. Vinod Bhanushali has backed the film’s production under the banners of Bhanushali Studios Limited and Bombay Fables Motion Pictures.
