Daman OTT Release Date: Vishal Mourya and Debi Prasad Lenka’s e National Award-winning Odia film Daman is finally making its nationwide digital debut by arriving on a popular OTT platform this month.
From October 15th, 2024, the adventure thriller, starring Babushaan and Dipanwit in lead roles, will become available for streaming on AAP NXT, an emerging digital platform that has been lately rolling out engaging Odia content for its subscribers on a daily basis.

Made with a small budget of Rs 90 lakh, Daman’s landed in theaters on November 4 2022 & received an overwhelmingly positive response from the cinegoers. Witnessing their film’s astonishing success, its makers also decided to create the thriller drama’s Hindi dubbed version & the same got released nationwide on February 3rd, 2024.
Following that, Daman never looked back & went on wreaking havoc at the Box Office, amassing a whopping Rs 28 crore from the ticket windows before finally concluding its dreamy theatrical run. Now, it will be interesting to see if the movie manages to continue its glorious run upon landing on the digital screens in the days to come.
Plot of the Film
Set in 2015, Daman tells the inspiring story of Siddharth, a passionate doctor who is posted at Janbai PHC, Odisha’s Naxal-affected area right after he attains his MBBS degree.
The movie beautifully portrays how Siddharth, without caring about his own life, selflessly works for the benefit of the area’s locals by not only curing the locals’ diseases but also raising awareness among them regarding the increasing malaria cases in the area. It also shows how the guy leaves no stone unturned in making sure the medications are provided to the needy even in the most secluded & and inaccessible areas.
Cast and Productions
Daman sees Babushaan Mohanty, Dipanwit Dashmohapatra, and Manaswini Takri essaying pivotal roles while also featuring other actors like Karan Kandhapan, Manaswani Takri, Sriharsa Purohit, Ashok Tripathy, Abhay Behera, Prasanna Kumar, Devika Priyadarshini, Sudam Bisoi amongst others as supporting characters. It is produced by Deependra Samal under the banner of, JP Motion Pictures and Mentis Films.
