Dancing Village: The Curse Begins OTT Release: The upcoming Indonesian horror mystery film will be available for streaming on 10th December. The film is an adaptation of the novel KKN di Desa Penari by SimpleMan.

Plot

The story of the horror mystery follows the life of a girl named Mila who has a mystery bracelet which holds a special significance. However, a shaman tells MIila to return the bracelet to the dancing village on Java Island.

Mila decides to go to the village with her cousins to return the bracelet, however, she discovers that the eldest person of the village has died and the new caretaker is currently not available.

Mila decides to stay in the village and wait for the next caretaker. Meanwhile, as she waits in the village with her cousins, she begins to experience strange things every day. However, one day one of the villagers tells Mila that she is picked by the Badarawuhi who rules the dancing village, to perform a special ritual. If she doesn’t perform the ritual the entire village will be cursed.

Mila agrees to perform the ritual for the safety of the villagers, but she begins to experience weird things and feels scared and creepy. Meanwhile,e the day of performing the ritual comes and Mila stands in the middle of the river.

The film is a prequel to the movie KKN Di Desa Penari. It was released in Indonesian cinemas in April 2024 clashing with the film ‘Grave Torture’.

This film was produced by MD Pictures and stars Aulia Sarah, Maudy Efrosina, and Jourdy Pranata.
