New Delhi: Farzi 2, a crime-thriller web series, is almost ready to premiere its second season on Amazon Prime Video. Following the success of Series 1, much expectation has been growing up in the viewers’ minds for the sequel.
The first season of Farzi was well-received by viewers and critics, earning an 8.4/10 rating on IMDb. Incredible work by Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in Season 1 has set the expectation higher for Farzi 2.
Release Date
Fans of this crime-thriller series may now breathe a sigh of relief after what Shahid Kapoor confirmed about Season 2’s ongoing production. “Farzi season 2, I am sure it will happen, but these things take time. Series will take one to two years for post-production alone”, he said.
The release date for Farzi 2 has not been set yet, although it is likely to debut in 2024. It is expected that there will be around 8 episodes.

Plot
In the series, the protagonist, Sunny played by Shahid Kapoor seems to be very unsatisfied with the current state of wealth disparity in India. Being frustrated by this economic inequality in the country, Sunny gives up hope of saving his grandfather’s printing press company. He then plans with his closest friend Firoz to produce fake money. The whole story narrates the challenges that Sunny and Firoz face as they attempt to counterfeit cash. Here Season 2 of Farzi will continue the unresolved story from the first season.
