From Lightyear to Cars: Here’s list of upcoming animated shows, films on OTT

As the monsoon arrives, it is a good time to sit with your family and watch films while eating some snacks.

New Delhi: Animation films make for the favourite leisure time activity for kids. These parents do enjoy accompanying their kids to watch animation films. From Lightyear to Cars, everything the kids like is coming up on the OTT.

As the monsoon arrives, it is a good time to sit with your family and watch films while eating some snacks. Here is a list of upcoming animated shows and films releasing on OTT:

1. Lightyear

After releasing in theatres, the film is ready to make a debut on OTT. The film follows Toy Story’s Lightyear. The plot reads, “While spending years attempting to return home, marooned Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear encounters an army of ruthless robots commanded by Zurg who are attempting to steal his fuel source.”

The film is directed by Angus MacLane and will stream on Disney+Hotstar on August 3.

2. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie

Ninja Turtles are back in action. The plot follows the arrival of a  mysterious stranger from the future with a dire warning, and Leo is forced to rise and lead his brothers, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey in a fight to save the world from a terrifying alien species.

Ben Schwartz voiced the protagonist Leo in the film. The film will release on August 5 on Netflix.

3. DOTA: Dragon’s Blood: Book 3

The show follows a Dragon Knight who becomes embroiled in events larger than he could have ever imagined, after encounters with a dragon and a princess on her own mission. The third season (Book 3) of the series will release on August 11 on Netflix.

4. Cars on the Road

‘Cars’ is back in form of an animated web series. The show follows Lightning McQueen and Mater going on a road trip where they will meet new and old characters. Owen Wilson voiced the protagonist Lightning McQueen while Larry the Cable guy voiced Mater.

The show will stream on Disney+Hotstar from September 8 onwards.
