Dabbang girl Sonakshi Sinha turned 36 today. She is the daughter of the Bollywood actor Satrugan Sinha and Poonam. The actress was a costume designer before she step into the field of acting. She designed costumes for the films like Dil Deke Dekho in 2005 featuring Jackie Shroff, Esha Doel, Archana Puran Singh, and many others. Apart from acting in movies, she has also appeared in music videos. She has also sung a solo song Aaj Mood Ishqholic hai and has sung a small part in Imran  Khan’s movie Tevar (2015).

1. Dabbang

Sonakshi Siha Started her Bollywood debut with the action drama  Dabbang opposite Salman Khan. In the movie, she played the role of a simple village girl who later marries a police officer Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan). The actress lost 30kgs to fit into the role of Rajjo in the movie.

2.Lootera

In the 2013 film Lootera, Sonakshi played the role of a Bengali girl, who is suffering from Tuberculosis and going to die. She eventually falls in love with Varun Shrivastava (Ranveer Singh), who cons her in marriage. The character of Pakhi Roy Chaudhary( Sonakshi Sinha) is immaculately wide-eyed and possesses elegant beauty and grace. With her well-etched dialogue, she did justice to the film.

3.Akira


The film was the remake of the 2011 Telugu film Mouna Guru. Akira was released in year 2016. Her Strong headed character in Akira was loved by the viewers. The movie revolves around a little girl living happily with her parents. One day she witnesses a crime that left a scar on her face and she continuously fights with the evil of the society.

4.Noor

In the film, Sonakshi played the Role of a journalist, who aspires to cover important news stories but is often sent to cover entertainment news stories. The movie was released in 2017 and her character was of a prowess and grim lady. She did her part very well.

 5.Kalank

Kalank is one of the best movies on Sonakshi’s list, although the film didn’t do that well at the box office but her role as Satya Chaudhary left a mark in the hearts of the viewers. The movie was set in the pre-independence era and dealt with societal taboos about issues of love.

Recently also she is back with a  prowess role of a police officer in an action series Dahaad where the actress has proven her metal. the above-mentioned movies are the proof that Sonakshi is a versatile actress.
