New Delhi: Following the release in theatres, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has garnered a lot of attention from the public around the world. It also received a historic rating of 10/10 on IMDb and maintained for around 72 hours. However, the rating was reduced to 8.3/10 from 10/10 on Monday.
The downfall in the rating attracted a lot of criticism on social media platforms with many blaming anti-Hindu people.
A Twitter user, Homi Devan Kapoor said the rating had been manipulated. He also shared a screenshot of IMDb users’ page. The note on the page read, ”Our rating mechanism has detected unusual voting activity on this title. To preserve the reliability of our rating system, an alternate weighting calculation has been applied.”
The actual mean is 9.6 (Bottom of the same page). Somebody has surely influenced the ratings because Jai Bhim, a propaganda movie is still at 9.4
Who forced them to dip the ratings of #TheKashmirFiles ? What’s unusual voting activity? Isn’t possible that every Indian rates 10*? pic.twitter.com/rnrg6YeCQQ— Homi Devang Kapoor (@Homidevang31) March 14, 2022
Bot game has begun by anti-Hindus, Congressis and Bollywood PR machineries on #IMDb. Suddenly, #TheKashmirFiles rating fell from 9.9/10 (79,000 votes) to 8.3/10 (120,000 votes). These people succeeded to pull ratings down but what about the theater audience? Unhe rok ke dikhayen. pic.twitter.com/FQrRFrkUP4
