‘Jawan’ box office collection Day 18: SRK achieves remarkable 1000 crore-mark record, for 2nd movie in a row

With its current total of 543 crore in India, the Atlee film has now beaten the lifetime domestic collection of Shah Rukh's last success, Pathaan.

New Delhi: After surpassing Pathaan and breaking his own record with the box office collection of Jawan, Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first Indian actor to have double entries in the Rs 1,000 crore club in the same year. This accomplishment comes on the heels of his becoming the first Indian actor to break his own record with Jawan.

Early estimates provided by industry tracker Sacnilk suggest that Jawan has officially surpassed the coveted Rs 1,000 crore milestone throughout the globe as of Sunday.

Industry expert Ramesh Bala was impressed with Shah Rukh Khan’s accomplishment and wrote on his Twitter, ”@iamsrk will become the first Indian movie star to have two entries in the 1,000 Crs Club! He has achieved that remarkable feat in the same calendar year – 2023. A feat that will remain in record books for a long time.”

Despite being in its third week, the box office success of the film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara has not slowed. On its third Sunday, the film reportedly earned Rs 15 crore nett, as estimated by Sacnilk. After 18 days in theatres, the film has earned Rs 560.83 crore in India.

With its current total in India, the Atlee film has now beaten the lifetime domestic collection of Shah Rukh’s last success, Pathaan.

On Sundays, Jawan’s Hindi audience remained at 33.64 per cent. Atlee, an accomplished filmmaker in Tamil cinema, helmed Jawan. Notably, the film’s performance in Tamil Nadu remains robust, with 46.92% Tamil occupancy on Sunday.
