New Delhi: Ever since the trailer for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, a romantic comedy directed by Karan Johar, was released a month ago, anticipation for the film has been building. With the premiere of the film’s newest song, Dhindhora Baje Re, Jaya Bachchan has unexpectedly overshadowed the rest of the cast with her serious, angry expression. Twitter has been on fire with humorous responses to her furious, strict looks throughout the song.

In the Karan Johar film, Jaya Bachchan’s character, the stern matron Dhanlakshmi, seems to be discontent with Rocky and Rani’s relationship. In the Dhindhora Baje scene from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, practically the whole cast wore red, but Jaya Bachchan, who was the only one to wear a traditional blue outfit, stood out.

Many Twitter users felt that Jaya Bachchan was the song’s real star since she was so effortlessly remaining herself throughout.
