The trailer of Karan Johar’s much talked about film Kalank, has just been released. The film’s star cast, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur, were all present at trailer launch of Kalank.

The trailer of Kalank shows the love triangle between Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Alia Bhatt’s character marries Aditya Roy Kapur, who is already married to Sonakshi Sinha. However, Alia develops a bond with Varun too, but tells him, “Shaadi-shuda hoon main.”

By the end of the trailer, Alia and Varun get separated as she, along with Aditya Roy Kapur, are seen on a train as fire engulfs the background. Scenes from Partition form the crux of the train sequence, in what seems like Karan Johar’s tribute to the iconic Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge track, but with a twist.

The trailer shows Kunal Khemu playing a pivotal role in the film. Kriti Sanon is also seen performing a dance number in the trailer.

The trailer of Kalank comes after the promos and songs from the film made it to the internet and were loved for the grand set and powerful characters. We see glimpses of Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt too in the trailer.

Apart from trailer and the teaser of the film, Kalank’s makers also released three songs of the film – Ghar More Pardesiya, First Class and the film’s title track.

Kalank is not only Karan’s most expensive film, but also his most unusual love story. Like most Karan Johar movies, the lavish sets of Kalank will leave you spellbound.

Earlier, KJo took to social media to write an emotional post about the film. He wrote, “A film that was born in my heart and mind 15 years ago….a film I passionately believe in…the last film my father worked on before he left us….it was his dream to see this film come through….I couldn’t fulfil his dream then….my spirit was broken….but today his wish has found a relationship with celluloid….the story of turbulent relationships and eternal love has found a voice….the film has been woven, nurtured and visualised by ABHISHEK VARMAN….and the film Is KALANK!”

Kalank is all set to hit the screens on April 17 this year.
