New Delhi: The film “Mad” became an unexpected box office smash, surprising everyone by going from a low budget to a massive blockbuster.

The movie also included the acting debut of Narne Nithin, Jr. NTR’s brother-in-law. In addition to the two stars, Sangeeth Shobhan and Ram Nithin, Santhosh Shobhan’s brother, played a crucial part and added humorous appeal.

The screenplay for the film was written by Kalyan Shankar, and he also served as the film’s director. The film has a cast of brilliant actors, including Ananathika Sanilkumar, Sri Gouri Priya Reddy, Gopikaa Udyan, Ravi Anthony, Raghu Babu, and others.

A notable mention should be made of the cameo appearance made by acclaimed filmmaker KV Anudeep in the movie. Under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, Sai Soujanya, who is married to Trivikram Srinivas, is working along with her husband to produce the film. The music, which was created by Bheems Ceciroleo, became a chartbuster and became very successful.

Storyline

Most of the action takes place in an engineering college, with the protagonists being freshmen students named Manoj, Ashok, and Damodar. After making waves in theatres on October 6 and earning critical acclaim, the movie is now making its way to digital streaming services. The popular OTT platform Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights to this youngster entertainment, and a formal announcement on its debut is planned for the first week of November.

There have been rumours circulating that the film’s OTT debut may occur on November 3rd, but Netflix has made no such statement yet.

The film’s break-even point was two and a half crores, but it has already earned over 25 crores, with a share of over 12 crores.

Six films have been released in Telugu so far, but Mad has managed to capture the interest of the whole population. The first day’s attendance should be respectable since occupancy spiked with the evening and night concerts. Netflix has acquired the rights to watch the film, and it will be available on the service starting in November.
