Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone shares throw back pic from ‘Piku’ on film’s 9th Anniversary

Deepika will be seen in Kalki 2898 A.D with Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani and Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from this, her film 'Singham Again' is also set to hit theaters starring Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone fondly remembers one of her iconic films ‘Piku’ which also stars her co-actor Irrfan Khan who passed away in 2020 due to cancer. The film completes 9 years today and the actress shared a cute picture from behind the scenes of the film. The picture shows Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. Sharing the picture she wrote, “He loves telling everyone how much I eat! @amitabhbachchan #Piku #Bashkor #Rana #ShoojitSirkar. @irrfan Oh how much we miss you (sic).”

This was the first film where Deepika shared the on-screen father-daughter relationship with Amitabh Bachchan. In the image, all the three actors of the film were seen sitting together, and a spot boy who is offering fruits to Amitabh Bachchan and he points out at Deepika. Earlier Amitabh also quoted saying, “Yeh haar 3 minute mein khaana khati hai”

The film ‘Piku’ revolves around the relationship of daughter and an ailing father who is being looked after by his only child Deepika Padukone who is playing the role of an architect who is living in Delhi.
