Plot
Wakana Gojo, a second-year high school student, lives a rather solitary and routine life. He comes from a family of traditional hina doll makers and is extremely passionate about the craft, aspiring to one day follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. However, Gojo is also an introvert who feels like an outsider in his high school, especially when it comes to fitting in with his peers.
Despite his talent for crafting beautiful hina dolls, Gojo harbors a deep-seated insecurity. He worries that his interests and skills are too niche for his classmates, and that they will never understand or appreciate his passion.
Everything changes when he crosses paths with Marin Kitagawa, a popular and vibrant first-year student known for her beauty and extroverted personality. Marin is the complete opposite of Gojo: confident, outgoing, and very much involved in modern pop culture. What sets her apart, however, is her love for cosplay—she’s a dedicated fan of dressing up as characters from anime, manga, and video games, but lacks the skills to make her own costumes.
Marin and Gojo’s initial interaction is anything but ordinary. One day, Marin is in a bit of a bind when she needs help with a cosplay outfit for an event. She accidentally spills the beans to Gojo about her love for cosplay and the fact that she doesn’t know how to sew or create her own costumes. She then asks him, half-joking, if he might help her out with a costume.
Gojo is taken aback by her request, as he has never before considered his skills in doll-making to be useful for anything other than his family’s work. However, after some hesitation, he agrees to help her. This decision marks the beginning of an unexpected collaboration that leads to the development of a deep and meaningful relationship between them.
