New Delhi: Legendary Pak singer Nayyara Noor died on Sunday at the age of 71. Her nephew Rana Zaidi confirmed the news on the microblogging site Twitter leaving Noor’s fans across the world devastated.
“It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beloved aunt (tayi) Nayyara Noor. May her soul R.I.P. She was given the title of ‘Bulbul-e-Pakistan’ because of her melodious voice. #NayyaraNoor”, tweeted Rana in Urdu.

Noor’s fan base are in shock on her sudden demise, though the cause of her death is still unknown. The latter was given the title of Bulbul-e-Pakistan as well as the Pride of Performance Award in the year 2006.
Earlier, she was conferred with Nigar Award in 1973 at a young age.
As the news of her death surfaced online, fan rush to pay their condolensces to the family and tribute to the queen of melody on social media.
