Odisha Train Accident: From Salman Khan to Kirron Kher, celebrities express condolences

New Delhi: After the tragic train accident in Odisha, various Bollywood celebrities came out in condolence for the loss of hundreds of lives. The Friday incident left the nation in huge shock with the death toll rising to a massive number, which called for prayers around the globe. Around 230 people have been killed with more than 900 people injured. The shocking incident happened when three trains collided leaving heart-trenching visuals of Odisha’s Balasore district.

Soon after the incident got media coverage, various personalities from the film fraternity, including Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, Vivek Agnihotri, Kirron Kher, among others expressed sincere grief.

Mega star Salman Khan tweeted, “Saddened to know about this tragic incident. May god shower strength and power on the families and on those injured. And may God bless the departed souls with peace.”

Veteran actress and politician, Kirron Kher wrote, “Really saddened to learn about the tragic train accident in Odisha. I hope those who were hurt get a quick recovery.

The South Indian actor, Jr NTR, also took to twitter to express his heartfelt condolences to the suffering families and their loved ones affected by the disastrous incident. May God provide support to families in these difficult times.

Moreover, actor Sonu Sood and director Vivek Agnihotri too expressed their condolences while raising questions as to how 3 trains collided at this age and time? They expressed their prayers for the suffering lives.

For the unversed, the tragic incident happened with a passenger train named Coromandel Shalimar Express when it got derailed and hit a cargo train. Further, another train named Yesvantpur Howrah Superfast crashed with the derailed coaches. As a result of the disastrous incident, around 238 people lost their lives while more than 900 people were left injured in Odisha’s Balasore.
