OTT Releases: These South films will make your March worth it; Check inside

New Delhi: With the severity of the Covid-19 pandemic subsiding, several states in the country have relaxed their restrictions. Currently, many movies are hitting the theatres and are experiencing major blockbusters as well.

However, some people still prefer to remain at home and binge on movies. Thus, OTT platforms have geared up to serve us with some of the big hits. Major movies from the south are in the pipeline to release on OTT.

Let’s take a look at the upcoming South Indian movies to stream on OTT platforms:

1. DJ Tillu – Aha Video

Written and directed by Vimal Krishna, the comedy is set to premiere on OTT on March 4. The movie stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Neha Shetty in the lead roles. The movie initially hit the big screens on February 12 and has reportedly collected around Rs 27 crore from its global ticket sales. The Telugu movie revolves around a young man who aspires to be a DJ, falls in love with a girl he met in a club, and later enters into a relationship.

 2. Veerame Vaagai Soodum – Zee 5

The Tamil cop-action thriller is directed by Thu Pa Saravanan and was originally released in theatres on February 4. The film stars Vishal and Dimple Hayathi in pivotal roles. Vishal plays the role of an angry young man who wishes to serve the nation. The film is produced by Vishal under the banner of Vishal Film Factory.

3. Maaran – Disney+Hotstar

Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan-starrer Maaran is set to stream on OTT from March 11. Dhanush plays the role of an investigative journalist, Maaran who has the capability to speak the truth in front of those in power. The movie will also portray a brother-sister relationship. Malavika plays the role of Dhanush’s colleague. Directed by Karthick Naren, the movie also stars Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, Krishnakumar Balasubramanian, Mahendran, and Ameer.

4. Rider – Zee5

The romantic-action film is directed by Vijay Kumar Konda and produced by Sunil Gowda. The movie revolves around the relationship journey between Nikhil Gowda and Kashmira Pardeshi who plays the role of childhood friends. The movie was initially released in theatres on December 24, 2021.
