New Delhi: For the OTT lovers, the third weekend of November offers an exciting & exhilarating time as lot many web series, ranging from court room drama to spy flicks to romance, are lined for release. These web series are set to release on different OTT platforms including Sony LIV, Zee 5, Netflix and Prime Video.
While the theaters have seen substantial booking for Ajay Devgn’s upcoming movie Drishyam 2, OTT subscribers too have an enjoyable time with string of popular web series like like Godfather, Wonder Women and Dharavi Bank.
OTT web series releasing this week
1) Dharavi Bank (MX Player)
The movie has a star cast of big Bollywood actors and is set to release on MX Player on November 19. Fans of actor Suneil Shetty & Vivek Oberoi will have a good time watching this movie as it marks their return to silver screen after a long time. Directed by Samit Kakkad, the movie also stars like Sonali Kulkarni, Luke Kenny, Freddy Daruwala, Shanthi Priya in the lead roles. The movie is about Thalaivan, where Suneil Shetty plays a powerful kingpin of India’s largest slum Dharavi.
2) The Twleve (LionsGate Play)
The English web series is set to release on Lionsgate Play on November 18. The movie is a courtroom drama and brings to screen complexities of a case.
The web series is about trial of an alleged murderer, played by Kate Lawson, who killed her niece and how Twelve juniors become part of the courtroom hearing.
3) Godfather (Netflix)
Godfather is a Telugu remake of South star Mohanlal’s Lucifer and has heartthrobs like Chiranjeevi & Salman Khan in the lead roles. Godfather hit the big screen on October 5 and is now heading to OTTs after good run at the BO.
The movie is about tussle in a political party, post the demise of its Chief Minister. While CM’s daughter remains unbothered about succession plan, his son-in-law hatch plans & conspiracy to take over his legacy. Brahma, played by Chiranjeevi, is the man in focus who confronts & challenges them in their wicked plan.
4) Wonder Women (Sony LIV)
This is a movie about 6 pregnant women who have lots of confusion, myths, false beliefs in their head while going through pregnancy. They attend a pre-natal class where they discover the reasons behind their deep-rooted problems.
It is releasing on Sony LIV on November 18.
5) Sardar (Aha)
Directed by PS Mithran, the web series is set to release on Aha platform. It is Tamil spy film and features Karthi in dual role with Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan.
