Plot

Yoo I-hwa, a woman disillusioned with her mundane life as a housewife, finds herself trapped in a monotonous routine with an emotionally distant and indifferent husband. Feeling stifled and undervalued, she longs for something more, something that will give her a sense of independence and meaning. This longing for a change leads her to take a job as a contract employee at a local savings bank, a decision that marks the beginning of a significant transformation in her life.

Initially, Yoo I-hwa’s new job offers a sense of purpose she’s never felt before. Her confidence begins to rise as she takes on her responsibilities, and for the first time in years, she feels valued and capable. Her work, which once seemed like a mere escape from her unsatisfying domestic life, becomes an important part of her identity. However, this newfound sense of empowerment gradually takes a dark turn.

As Yoo I-hwa becomes more deeply involved in her work at the bank. She finds herself drawn into a web of moral corruption. The temptation to embezzle money from VIP clients grows too strong to resist. At first, she justifies her actions, telling herself it’s a way to secure a better future for herself. But as she continues to steal, the consequences of her choices become more significant and more complicated.

What began as a seemingly small act of dishonesty slowly spirals into a full-blown moral crisis. Yoo I-hwa’s once ordinary life—where she was content to quietly serve as a wife and mother—begins to unravel. The sense of control and power she experiences through her criminal actions comes at a steep price. Therefore, she finds herself caught in a moral turmoil that she cannot easily escape. The guilt, fear, and anxiety she faces intensify as the stakes of her illegal activities rise.
