Pathaan riot continues on day 3: Shahrukh Khan’s first movie to enter 300 crore club

New Delhi: Pathaan is unstoppable, unmatched, and unprecedented at the Box office. Shahrukh Khan’s comeback movie not only proved him as the King of Bollywood but also reignited the fan frenzy that was on the verge of extinction for the Hindi film industry.

Pathaan has been on a spree of demolishing records even before its release. It lived up to the heightened expectations and jumped into the 100 crore club with worldwide earnings on just day 1.

Continuing the riot, Pathaan entered the 200 crore club on day second with a total of 219.60 crores in collection.

So, naturally, it would be child’s play for this adrenal-rushing movie to make Shahrukh Khan a member of the 300 crore club.

Numbers speak big time for Pathaan’s spectacular success, and so do the videos of the smitten audience cheering and dancing inside the theaters and long queues outside it.

Pathaan’s craze goes beyond just its collection. Pathaan has, in a way, blown life in cinema halls all across the country. Released on 5200 screens pan India, the Sidharth Anand movie re-opened more than 25 single-screen theaters.

Shahrukh Khan shared a list of these single-screen cinema halls to congratulate them on their re-openings. He added that as a child, he watched all movies on single screens only. “Uska Apna hi maza hai,” he tweeted.

What makes Pathaan stand out, even more, is its unconventional promotion. The stars didn’t go onto typical media conferences or TV shows at all. Leaving the publicity to  ‘Boycott Gang,’ the lead actors remained tight-lipped until the very end. This doubled the curiosity of the audience who were eagerly waiting for King Khan’s comeback.
