Pedro Páramo OTT Release Date: Rodrigo Prieto’s Mexican drama Pedro Paramo is all set to release on the digital screens.
Starring actors like Manuel García Rulfo, Tenoch Huerta, and Ilse Salas in its main cast, the realism movie, on September 7th, 2024, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) before making it to the theaters across Mexico 5 days later on 12 September 2024.
Now, after a month & half since its arrival on the big screen, the movie, on November 6th, 2024, is arriving on Netflix where viewers will get to watch it from the comfort of their homes with a basic subscription to the platform’s services.

Plot of the Film
Based on Juan Rulfo’s 1955 novel of the same name, Pedro Paramo tells the tale of Juan Preciao who embarks on a challenging journey to a remote town in order to unite with his estranged father Pedro following the demise of his mother.
Upon arriving one the secluded town, Juan learns that the place has turned into a gloomy ghost town that appears to have been stuck in time ever since it was abandoned by natives. However, he soon realizes that the town is not as empty as it seems as it is filled by some ghostly apparitions who are telling an untold tale of the area’s shady past. What happens next is the remaining story of the movie.

Besides Manuel García Rulfo, Tenoch Huerta, and Ilse Salas, Pedro Páramo, in its star cast, also features Mayra Batalla, Héctor Kotsifakis, Roberto Sosa, Dolores Heredia, Giovanna Zacarías and Noé Hernández in key roles.
